About Matt Levy OAM

Born premature with Cerebral Palsy, Matt was thrown into the world and given two choices: to sink or swim. Beating all the odds and after over 40 operations, Matt competed in five Paralympic Games, won nine gold medals and multiple other medals – all due to a mindset he created fighting for life and living it to the full. While you might not be striving for gold in swimming, Matt’s unique 7 step SUCCESS system will help everyone identify their lane to success and bring focus and energy to the more self-actualised, authentic self within. This is a book everyone should read, whether you are a sports fan, teenager trying to navigate school and life or a parent, family member or leader in business seeking to help others reach their full potential and develop inner strength and resilience. Matt Levy OAM is an accomplished public speaker, role model, author and business manager and supports a range of charities. He was awarded an OAM for his services to swimming in 2013.

About the Sports Fitness Festival
Launched in 2023, the AFT International Sports Fitness Festival brings together over 100 hours of Sports, Fitness and Wellness experiences under one virtual roof in partnership with city councils across the Asia Pacific region. Inclusive rather than exclusive, we invite all to join us in-person or virtually from your living rooms via live-stream. The festival is a regional Asia Pacific public health initiative by independent media group, A Fitness Today (AFT) and is conceptualised from lived experiences by the founders themselves. In 2024, it takes off with a series of events in Sydney in Australia and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia:
  • When: 21 September 2024 from 11am–3pm
Where: Haymarket, Sydney Chinatown, NSW Australia
Move8 VR Walk-a-Hunt @ Sydney Haymarket features a 3KM walk in-person to discover iconic landmarks and local businesses along Sydney’s hundred-year-old Chinatown. Those from afar can log in to view an immersive 360° film and participate online.

  • When: 3 November 2024 from 8am–11am
Where: Merdeka 118 Environs, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
    Move8 VR Walk-a-Hunt
@ Merdeka 118 takes participants circumnavigating the world’s second tallest architectural wonder at 679m high, around Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown area while visiting iconic landmarks and supporting local businesses there. Participants can sign on in-person or walk virtually.

Ends.
