Move8 VR Walk-a-Hunt @ Merdeka 118 Precinct Kuala Lumpur

The event begins at 7.30 am with warm-up sessions and music DJ. The walk begins in four stages:

Everyone is welcome to join and participate. We also welcome persons with disabilities. If you belong to a company sports club or a not-for-profit organisation and would like to join as a group, email us at info@sportsfitnessfestival.com.

The event is free for general public participants because we believe sport should be accessible to all, and not exclusive. RSVP is required for safety reasons. RSVP here.

The free public walk is supported by sponsors like Tourism Malaysia and supporting partners like PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Berhad and ThinkCity’s revitalisation grant for the precinct.

We are going green and in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we will not be printing t-shirts for this walk.

We invite all participants to wear their most creative Malaysian outfit or a comfortable t-shirt.

Is there an age limit for participation?
No age limit, people of all ages are welcome to join the event. Children under 15-years-old are to be accompanied by an adult.

We will provide paid corporate participants with a digital certificate which you can add to your LinkedIn, and other social media accounts. General public participants can opt to contribute RM33 for a certificate of completion.

We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes, light clothing and a hat or cap. Wear sunscreen. Bring your own water bottle and takeaway container. 

As this is not a race you may like to bring your favourite shopping bag as there will be lots of shops and local business to explore.

The organisers will provide light breakfast, water and lunch in support of local establishments in the Merdeka 118 precinct. We encourage participants to support the local businesses, buy a meal or a drink and spend within the Merdeka 118 Precinct. 

In the effort to keep the walk free of charge, we will not be providing mineral water. We will be providing free drinks on a first-come-first-served basis at the completion of your walk in Stadium Merdeka. We encourage participants to bring their own water bottles or purchase your drinks along the route, supporting local businesses. In keeping with our Go Green environmental policy in support of carbon offsets, and we hope to raise awareness about the importance of reducing one-time use plastic.

No, there is no parking available at Merdeka 118.

We urge participants to consider taking public transportation to avoid traffic congestion. Closest LRT station is Pasar Seni and Monorail station is Maharajalela and the MRT station is Merdeka (Plan your trip by visiting the official website here – MRT Kajang Line – MyRapid). There are several public parking spots in the neighbourhood.

If I am an international participant who is a non-Malaysian Citizen, what do I need to do? 

You are responsible to make all the necessary travel arrangements, obtaining all entry, exit, health and other documents.

If there is a Medical Emergency or you feel unwell, please approach the nearest volunteer or our team along the course.

Your safety is paramount.

In case of emergency, the closest hospitals are Prince Court Medical Centre at Jalan Kia Peng (10.3km), Tung Shin Hospital at Jalan Pudu (11.5km) and Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), HUKM Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM).

Who is the organiser of the Move8 Walk-a-Hunt? When is the next walk?
The Move8 Walk-a-Hunt is organised by Go International Group Dotcom Sdn. Bhd. in collaboration with support from Tourism Malaysia, PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn. Berhad, and Think City Kuala Lumpur. The next Walk-a-Hunt is scheduled for Saturday 18 January 2025 and will circumnavigate the Merdeka 118 Precinct in Kuala Lumpur
