What an amazing fun and energetic weekend in Sydney at the Lunar New Year (LNY) Dragon Boat Festival. The Dragon Boat festival has been ongoing for 41 years and this Year of the Wood Dragon in 2024 welcome the second year of a special edition championship held to commemorate the Lunar New Year.

Dragon boat racing is growing in its popularity and over 3,000 new and seasoned paddlers came together in the heart of Sydney Australia’s Darling Harbour from February 16-18, 2024. The event was open to the general public and started off with Corporate crews paddling it out on Friday followed by a spectacular drone show. The Sports teams battled it out on the water on Saturday and that ended with fireworks display! Sunday was the day of grand finale races with pounding drums and cheering spectators!
